Eddie McGuire joins 1116 SEN

February 29th, 2008

Eddie McGuire has joined Melbourne’s 1116 SEN radio to call Friday night AFL in 2008, with the exception of all Collingwood Friday night games. In 2007 McGuire called a couple of games for SEN, basically to keep the lungs oiled. SEN held extensive talks with him in 2007 to come on board, however 3AW showed interest in obtaining his services. Today’s announcement ends weeks of speculation of McGuire joining 3AW in a non sporting on air role. There had also been whispers of him returning to Triple M, where he was previously part of the AFL commentary team.
